For larger projects where slope stabilization and economy is a primary factor, gravity wall systems can be the preferred system.  We are experts in the design of mechanically-stabilized earth (MSE) wall systems that typically consist of a concrete or gabion basket facing and structural backfill reinforced with geogrids.

This MSE wall system was designed stabilize driveway access that was destroyed by a landslide.  The wall system consists of precast concrete facing (Ultrablock, Inc.) and granular fill reinforced by high-density polypropylene geogrid.  Construction included construction of a large drainage system to capture and remove groundwater that was the principle cause of the landslide.
